Kestrel’s Carpentry Ltd
Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Kestrel's Carpentry Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We have kept it deliberately short and plain.
Who we are
Kestrel's Carpentry Ltd is a carpentry business operating in Basingstoke and surrounding areas. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the “data controller” for information collected through this website.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. If you complete the enquiry form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your postcode or area
- The project type you select
- The description of your project that you write
We also record the date and time of your submission. We do not ask for payment details, and you should not send them through this website.
If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or social media instead, any information you share is handled by that provider under their own terms as well as ours.
Why we use it
We use these details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan and carry out the work. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them for advertising.
Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. If you become a customer, we also process what is necessary to perform our contract with you.
Who receives it
Enquiries are read by Kestrel's Carpentry Ltd. To deliver them we use these service providers, who process the information on our behalf:
- Vercel — hosts this website and serves the page you complete the form on.
- EmailJS — receives the enquiry from your browser and delivers it to us by email.
Your enquiry then sits in our email account like any other message. We do not transfer your information outside the UK or European Economic Area except where these providers do so under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as there is a reason to. If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it once it is clearly no longer live. If it does lead to work, we keep the relevant records for as long as we need them for the job and for any legal, accounting or warranty reasons that follow.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it
- Ask for a copy in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time
To make any of these requests, contact us on 07770 829623 and we will deal with it. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. For details of the small amount of browser storage it does use, see our Cookie Policy.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
